Most programs process parallel text - also called bilingual text - using a method of automatic alignment through a sequence of sentences in a text. This yields numerous alignment errors which can be corrected only manually at the post-editing stage.

Using the word databases exclusively created by ABBYY developers for ABBYY Aligner 2.0, the software not only parses text into segments and matches them by their order in a sequence - it compares the source text segments with the translated ones and checks them for semantic proximity. This way the software always finds the best matching segments, resulting in a better precision of text alignment.
