Camera flash control - It is possible to turn off camera flash within the application. In poor lighting conditions camera flash may work automatically and overexpose some part of a business card. In such case a user can turn off the flash (via the application menu) and therefore to improve the quality of photo of a business card and the recognition results (upon application shutdown, this option will not be saved).

Screen lighting control - The application automatically delays turning off the screen lighting if necessary, to give users enough time to focus the camera on a business card and take a picture.

Helpful tool tips are included in the program to guide users to get the best results. They will assist you when photographing business cards, working with camera flash, editing captured contact information, and setting up recognition languages.

ABBYY Business Card Reader 2.0 delivers an enhanced set of options to manage and edit captured contacts before saving them in the mobile address book. It allows users to change the type of a given data field (e.g. Name, Title, Address, etc.), add new data fields, and remove duplex fields highlighted with an exclamation mark.
