ABBYY CardHolder for iPhone

Tap the icon to start ABBYY CardHolder, take a photo of a business card or upload its image from the application’s archive. To take a snapshot of a business card, tap the ‘Take a photo’ button in the top-right corner of the screen.

Make sure the card is completely inside the focus frame, then press the big 'Photo' button.

After that, ABBYY CardHolder will start the recognition process.

There is no need to visually check recognition results in a symbol-by-symbol manner, as ABBYY CardHolder highlights uncertain characters in the captured text, saving your time and efforts.

Tap the 'Done' button, when the results suit you. 

There are 3 ways to find the business card you need. The can use a search line, or apply sorting to all images within the CardHolder archive by name, surname, company name, address, or creation date.

Alternatively, you can find it using the 'Groups' menu.

To make a call, write an email or SMS, or browse a Web site of interest, simply open the image of a captured business card and tap the respective button of action.

In case you bought a new mobile gadget or software to manage business cards, or you just want to be sure your contacts are safe, back up and restore CardHolder contacts on your device or personal computer using iTunes application. Go to the 'Settings' menu, then to the 'Back up' menu and follow step-by-step instructions displayed on the screen of your phone. For more information see the application FAQ.

After backing up your contacts, tap 'Restore contacts' in the 'Settings' menu and follow step-by-step instructions displayed on the screen of your phone. For more information see the FAQ.

You can upgrade your CardHolder to add even more contact managment capabilities. After upgrading, you will obtain the complete set of features similar to those of ABBYY Business Card Reader. All the additional capabilities are available after in-App Purchases. The description is below:

If you frequently use contact data from a particular business card, you can conveniently transfer this contact entry to your iPhone’s address book using ABBYY CardHolder.

To supplement a contact entry with the profile information from social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter, tap the 'Edit' button when browsing business card’s image and select the icon of the network you are interested in.   

Tap the 'Search' icon near address to find a street address you need via online mapping services right from within the CardHolder application.
