ABBYY Lingvo Dictionaries for Android delivers licensed content from well-known publishers such as Compact Verlag, Dicoland, Russkiy Yazyk - Media, RUSSO, and K Dictionaries. Lingvo offers more than 250 general bilingual, specialist, monolingual and other types of dictionaries for 30 languages, including Chinese, European languages, Latin, Kazakh and Tatar. Download, install and work with 58 dictionaries for 27 languages at no extra charge. Choose from a variety of additional reasonably-priced dictionaries to enlarge your dictionary collection.

Lingvo Dictionaries application offers intuitive word look-up for you to find the information of interest faster and easier – even if you are not sure of a word. Just type it in any inflected form, and Lingvo will find it for you. For instance, the application will show the dictionary entry for the verb go even if you type in went. If you misspell a word, the application will display a list of near-matches.

Lingvo forms a list of headwords from all the installed dictionaries for the chosen language combination. The application shows all the relevant entries in a single window once a word is found in multiple dictionaries. Dictionary entries contain detailed information about words, including translation alternatives, word usage examples, phonetic transcriptions, inflected forms of words and audio pronunciations (the sound files should be downloaded and installed).

Lingvo Dictionaries application supports hypertext and allows users to get instant translation of any word found in the dictionary entries with just a single tap.
