ABBYY Announces the Fastest Business Card Scanning App for iOS

ABBYY released the latest version of its powerful, multi-functional contact data management app – ABBYY Business Card Reader for iOS. This new update captures data from business cards with minimal user interaction and is faster than other card scanning apps*.

The updated version of the app automatically focuses the camera on a business card, detects the card’s edges, crops any extraneous background, and takes a picture “all by itself.” A user’s only job is to point the device’s camera at a business card, with no need to even touch the Photo button.

Images saved in ABBYY Business Card Reader now look brighter and crisper, and the quality of optical recognition has improved – all thanks to ABBYY’s proprietary color filters, which are available as part of the ABBYY Mobile Imaging SDK. The new motion blur detector checks photos for focus and asks a user to take another picture if the focus is not ideal or if the image is not the best quality.

The update is available on the Apple® AppStore and for the family of ABBYY apps, including ABBYY Business Card Reader, ABBYY Business Card Reader Plus and ABBYY Business Card Reader Corporate Edition for Salesforce CRM.
