Return policy for Partner Channel Professional Application Products effective February 1, 2010
If purchased after a trial period
- ABBYYUSA offers a 30-day trial version on its Professional Application products such as and FlexiCapture, Recognition Server and FormReader 6.5 Developer Edition. ABBYY considers that products ordered, following a trial, have met the customer’s expectations. Therefore all sales that have been preceded by a trial are considered final and no returns will be accepted.
If purchased without a trial period
- If the product was purchased without a trial, ABBYY USA offers a 30 day return policy on these products purchased through an authorized or certified Channel Partner.
- All requests for a return or an exchange must go through an ABBYY Sales Representative and requires the approval via written email from the CFO or CFO Designee of ABBYYUSA. All returns must have a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number which will be issued by ABBYY USA upon RMA approval. The product, if it was sold in a package should be sent back to ABBYYUSA with the RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the package, otherwise the return/exchange package will be refused.
- For products that were delivered via electronic software delivery, that software must be destroyed and a Letter of Destruction emailed to the ABBYY Sales Representative. The refund for the return will be processed after the package or Letter of Destruction is received by the ABBYY receiving department or designated return authorization depot.
- For product purchased without a trial, a minimum of 15% restocking fee of the invoice total will apply to all returns (this does not apply to exchanges). Missing software or manuals will result in additional 15% of restocking fees. Returns/exchanges must be in good condition; those that have been subjected to misuse and/or mishandling are not eligible for a refund. Shipping and handling charges to have the product returned to ABBYY are non-refundable. Credit Card Fees, Shipping & Handling fees are Non-Refundable.
Policy regarding returns on Professional Development Toolkits (SDK)
- ABBYY USA offers a 60-day trial version on its Professional Development Toolkit products such as FineReader Engine SDK, Mobile SDK, FineReader Scripting and FormReader Development Edition Products, therefore:
All sales on these products are considered final.
For any exceptions to the above:
- All requests for a return/exchange exception must go through an ABBYY representative and require the approval via written email from either the CFO or accounting designee of ABBYY USA. All returns must have a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number which will be issued upon approval. The product should be sent back to ABBYY USA with the RMA number clearly visible on the outside of the package, otherwise the return/exchange package will be refused. The refund will be processed after the package is delivered to our warehouse.
- A minimum of 30% restocking fee of the invoice total will apply to all returns (this does not apply to exchanges) that are in good working condition. Missing parts or manuals will result in addtional restocking fees (this also applies to exchanges). Return/exchanges must be in good condition; those that have been subjected to misuse and/or mishandling are not eligible for a refund.
- Credit Card fee and Shipping & Handling is non-refundable.
