What is a database table?

During the work via ODBC FineReader prompts for a table name after the data source is selected. The "table" is different thing for different ODBC drivers:

For the classic relation databases like Access, SQL Server or Oracle database the "table" is the table in the database.
For the Excel driver a "table" is a single worksheet from work book.
For DBF and TXT files the "table" is a single file. In this case the data source specifies only the folder in which the files are located. Each file is a table.

As different drivers have different requirements for table names, we recommend to use only short names, made up of English letters and digits, beginning with a letter and not containing spaces.
