How to create a user Data type base?

The list of Data type bases on which a template is based may be enlarged by adding a user Data type base to it. This user database may be created in any batch.

In order to create a user Data type base:

1. Create a new folder in the Regions folder in MS Explorer (the Regions folder is located in the folder in which you have installed ABBYY FormReader). If will be further referred to as <BTD>

2. Open the folder of the batch the Data type base of which you like to used as the "pattern Data type base" for newly created templates

3. Copy all the *.lcd files and textlang.dat file to the <BTD> folder.

4. Edit the regions*.dat files (the are located in the folder in which the application is installed): add the following line to the end of files - "<the name of the Data type base to be displayed in the Data type base selection dialog during creation of a new batch>; \<BTD>; <default data type >; <style of handprint characters>".

5. Restart ABBYY FormReader.
