ABBYY has conducted a Windows Vista compatibility test of FineReader 8.0 Professional, Corporate and Site License Editions in accordance with our commitment to support the latest Windows operating system. With the official launch of Windows Vista, we have released product updates for FineReader 8.0 (desktop application). These updates fix minor issues, allowing Windows to treat FineReader as a trusted application, so that no security warnings appear during the installation or launch of the application.

Works with Windows Vista

All editions of ABBYY FineReader 8.0 - Professional, Corporate and Site License Editions, have already received the «Works with Windows Vista» qualification and logo from Microsoft. The certification means that the products meet baseline standards of functionality on all PCs running Windows Vista and deliver a reliable experience.

The Vista compatibility updates to ABBYY FineReader 8.0 Professional, Corporate and Site License Editions are available at no charge for registered customers. To get these updates, please refer to the Check for Updates option. This option is available from the main menu of your FineReader application: Help>Check for updates now. Please note, that the serial number of your copy of the program will be automatically verified.
