Update for ABBYY Lingvo Tutor for Pocket PC

ABBYY Lingvo 12

Important! This update is intended for the following applications:

  • ABBYY Lingvo 12 English Russian (builds 12.0.0.351, 12.0.0.413)
  • ABBYY Lingvo 12 European (builds 12.0.0.355, 12.0.0.413)
  • ABBYY Lingvo 12 Multilingual (builds 12.0.0.356, 12.0.0.413)
  • ABBYY Lingvo 12 Three Languages (builds 12.0.0.356, 12.0.0.413)

This update corrects the following errors in ABBYY Lingvo Tutor for Pocket PC:

  • Cyrillic fonts may be displayed in dictionary entries on some devices
  • French characters may be displayed incorrectly in Exercise windows
  • Chinese characters may be displayed incorrectly under certain conditions

To install the update:

  • Download the TutorCE.zip file (file size is  0.3 MB).
  • Unzip the downloaded archive into C:\Program Files\ABBYY Lingvo 12\LingvoCE\ARM\PPC, or into the folder on your PC into which you chose to install ABBYY Lingvo.
  • When you see a dialog box asking you if you really wish to replace the existing file with the new file, click Yes.
  • If the application is already installed on your Pocket PC device, copy the TutorCE file into the folder \Program Files\Abbyy Lingvo\ on the memory card or in the main memory of your device (be sure to close Lingvo Tutor first).
  • If you have installed the application from your Pocket PC device, install it again using PDA Setup Manager (Start>Programs>PDA Setup Manager>Pocket PC, Smartphone (Windows Mobile (R) OS).
