Answer: This message appears if there are two computers in the local Intranet running ABBYY Lingvo x3 with the same serial number. To solve the issue, you must reactivate ABBYY Lingvo x3 on one of the computers using another serial number. To do it:
1) Start ABBYY Lingvo x3 on one of the computers.
2) On the top menu, select Help>Licences…
3) In the window that opens, select the licence name and click "Remove".
4) Close the program (Translate>Exit).
5) Start ABBYY Lingvo x3 again and activate it using the a new serial number.
Question: When I start the program, the message "MSXML4 component not found…" appears. What should I do?
Answer: Download the MSXML 4.0 component from the Microsoft website (www.microsoft.com) and install it.

1) Open the Start menu and click "Run". If the "Run" item doesn't appear in the Start menu, hold the Windows button on your keyboard and press R.

2) On the top menu, select Tools>Language and Dictionary Settings...
3) On the "My dictionaries" tab, select and delete dictionaries that are not included in the ABBYY Lingvo version that you installed.
4) Close the program (Translate>Exit).
Question: When I start ABBYY Lingvo x3, the message " The connection to the licensing service has been lost" appears. When I click "Cancel", the following error occurs: "ABBYY Licensing Service is unavailable…". How can I solve the issue?

Question: In the new version of the program, why additional activation on workstations is required after I register the per-seat license on the server?
Answer: For installation of ABBYY Lingvo x3 with per-seat licenses, you must activate it on the license server (when you add a per-seat license) AND on workstations.
When you carry out activation on the workstation, the per-seat license becomes bound to it. If the license server is connected to the Internet during installation of ABBYY Lingvo x3 on the workstation, the license will be activated automatically. During the activation process, ABBYY Lingvo x3 Licensing Service that works on the server, connects to registration2.abbyy.com using default Internet Explorer settings. If the company's security policy prohibits such access, you will have to activate ABBYY Lingvo x3 manually at first launch on workstations.
Question: How do I reinstall the license on a new computer if something happened to the workstation (for example, if the computer broke down)?
Answer: To install the license on a new computer, you must deactivate it.
To deactivate the license, do the following:
1) In the License Manager, right-click the desired license.
2) In the dialogue box, click "Deactivate".
3) Follow the Deactivation Wizard's instructions.
Question: How do I change the network connection settings?
Answer: By default, the client and server of ABBYY Lingvo x3 communicate using RPC via the Named Pipes protocol.
To change network connection parameters, create a file Licensing.ini on the ABBYY Lingvo license server (in the folder: %programfiles%\Common Files\ABBYY\Lingvo\14.0\Licensing\). In this file, specify the desired connection protocol and port.
