Answer: Apparently the Norton AntiVirus plug-in prohibits invoking Microsoft Word from other applications. More information about this problem can be found on the Microsoft Web site. To open your PDF files in Microsoft Word, switch off the Norton AntiVirus plug-in or save PDF files as Microsoft Word documents to the hard drive and then open them.

Question: How can I change the interface language of ABBYY PDF Transformer?
Answer: The user interface language is set up during installation. To change the interface language, remove the program from your machine, then start installing the program and select the required interface language in the very first dialog box.
Question: What is the maximum number of pages in one PDF file that the program can process?
Answer: One PDF file can contain no more than 9,999 pages, otherwise you will not be able to process it with ABBYY PDF Transformer.
Question: How can I suppress the message saying that the Normal.DOT file will be changed?
Answer: In Microsoft Word, select Tools -> Options -> Save and clear the Prompt to save Normal template box.
Question: When I close Microsoft Word I receive a message saying that the Normal.DOT file will be changed. Why?
Answer: During installation ABBYY PDF Transformer places its icon on the Word toolbar. Information about the toolbar is stored in the Normal.DOT template, which you must update when making changes to the Word toolbar.
Question: During installation I see a warning message asking me to close some of the running applications. I have closed the applications, but the warning message appears again. How can I finish the installation?
Answer: Cancel the installation, close all the running applications and re-start the installation process. If you see the warning message again, do the following:
