Taking Photos and Recognition

Run the application to activate the smartphone’s camera and make the program set to work.
Before taking photos you can change some settings within the application or select and load a previously made photo. You can get more information about the program or select recognition languages, enable or disable crop and turn the flashlight on or off.

When taking a snapshot of data, make sure that the name of the application is displayed in the upper corner of the iPhone screen both in portrait and landscape modes to ensure good OCR results.
Press the "Take photo" button. If necessary, you can reduce the recognition area for the photo obtained by placing a photo cropping frame on that part of the image which contains the required information. Press the "Read" button to start the recognition process.

Make sure that the required text has been correctly recognized. If necessary, you can edit the data manually or take another photo and start the recognition process.

Additionally, you can send the generated data by e-mail or SMS, or copy and save it. The resulted text can also be saved in other applications or published to Facebook, Twitter, and Evernote.

To return to the Photo mode, press the Camera icon at the bottom of the iPhone screen.
