Making Robots Smarter with Content Intelligence
Earlier this month, ABBYY participated in the Intelligent Automation Week in Chicago in which I had the opportunity to moderate one of the round table discussions on content intelligence and robotic process automation (RPA). I held discussions with over 40 people on various approaches to automating content-based processes with RPA.
A Summer to Remember
This summer signaled for me the start of a new career at ABBYY. We have also seen a heatwave hit the UK and witnessed the England football team playing with a freedom and intelligence never seen before. Thinking about these early few months in the new role, you could link those 2 traits with some of the organizations I’ve encountered at the various events I’ve attended.
FlexiCapture has its day at PegaWorld 2018
PegaWorld 2018 Conference in the Las Vegas has been variously billed as the world's largest intelligent automation event. Carl Hillier, ABBYY Product Group Head, was one of the plethora of innovators and business leaders in attendance. He shares his impressions with ABBYY Blog. ABBYY has been working closely with Pega to help global clients across industries accelerate innovation and achieve transformative results.
Robots, Jobs and Text Analytics
One of the most popular discussions around digital transformation is how deployment of robots will affect the workplace. While the effect of robotization on individual jobs remains a sensitive issue, benefits to businesses are already clear. No wonder investors have already injected $4 billion into 4,000 AI vendors that want to concentrate on RPA.
Linking AI to Business Value with New Content Intelligence Solutions
The growing trend of integrating artificial intelligence into business processes not only augments any work involving data-driven decision-making, but also changes the way knowledge work gets done in many organizations. In the words of Peter Drucker, who first coined the term ‘knowledge workers’ back in 1959, the greatest challenge is to “increase the productivity of knowledge work and knowledge workers.
Driving content intelligence opportunities with RPA vendors
Robotic process automation is one of the more promising and exciting tools in an organization’s digital transformation tool bag. Early uses have delivered a strategic impact on meaningful business processes innovation, and as a result, it’s getting C-suite level interest. As a result, RPA vendors are growing incredibly fast with many being venture capital funded.
ABBYY Intelligent Capture Pushes the Boundaries of RPA
ABBYY participated at the RPA and AI Summit 2017 Conference in London where experts and end users discussed the convergence of data with RPA and shared best practices for moving from proof of concept to centers of excellence. Having recently attended the AI Summit in San Francisco, we were curious to learn how European organizations and vendors were approaching AI and if their level of interest in our offerings matched that of the U.S.
The inflection point. When companies make improvement changes in accounts payable
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is being able to talk with organizational leaders about how, when and why they decide to improve their business processes. And while no two companies or situations are the same, overarching trends come to surface—trends that can provide valuable insight to decision makers at other organizations who may be nearing their own inflection point.
