Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning pre-sales solutions end-to-end, taking responsibility for the technical solution from discovery workshops, through requirements capture and solution design to handover for implementation (including managing input from technical SMEs where required)
  • Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge of ABBYY products. Supplement own knowledge by drawing on additional ABBYY expertise from the wider presales, product and professional services teams when required
  • Manage the long-term technical relationship and enablement of specific ABBYY enterprise customers and partners, identifying opportunities to deliver further value


  • Strong track record in pre-sales or technical consultancy role
  • Self-starter, with excellent client-facing skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform effective discovery workshops, building a relationship with the client to identify their drivers, challenges and opportunities, and make linkages to ABBYY’s value proposition
  • Ability to design end-to-end solutions, including creation and presentation of PoCs and demos
  • Ability to build and manage the technical plan for a solution, including delegating effectively to subject-matter experts when required
  • Ability to scope an engagement beyond the sales process and ensure it is set up for delivery success, handing off to implementation colleagues in a methodical, collaborative manner
  • Willingness to travel when necessary for the client or internal ABBYY meetings, up to 30% of time (in accordance with current local Covid regulations)
  • Growth mindset, resilience and ability to manage multiple engagements effectively
  • Business fluent German and English language skills
  • Background in Intelligent Document Processing would be of benefit, but not required
  • Experience with automation and BPM would be of benefit, but not required
  • A third European language with professional proficiency would be of benefit, but not required
