For our office in London, UK, we are looking for a Head of Sales UK&I, who locates, develops, defines, negotiates, and closes business relationships. ABBYY has a partner-first strategy and as such the new Head of sales needs to drive business directly and execute deals through partners. The candidate must have a proven track record and profound sales experience in selling directly to enterprise customers and through partners. The candidate must show success in prior positions. This position requires a flexible, adaptable, fast paced resource that can thrive in a changing and fast growing software sales environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the development of the UK and Ireland business – experience in Direct Sales as well as Partner business in the UK
  • Illustrating, communicating and selling complex, value-based solutions to the CXO and executive level within the mid- to top-tier market place
  • Identification of new opportunities and development of new name business in the UK and Ireland
  • Sourcing and development of new and expanded sales prospects, negotiation of complex sales agreements, and closing of sales opportunities
  • Implementation of strategies to build, manage and enhance business with Enterprise customers and partners in the UK
  • Take-over of inbound marketing leads, development through the sales pipeline until contract closure
  • RFP/RFQ management in your region, elaboration of offers, negotiation until contract closure
  • Management of internal forecasting for individual sales executives and partner sales using pipeline tools
  • Direct Team Management of a team of 4 sales managers (Direct sales and Partner sales)
  • Regular quarterly and monthly forecasting
  • Report into the VP of Sales Europe

Requirements:

  • Sales Manager/Director with profound experience in automation software and SaaS sales with Enterprise customers and Partners (RPA industry knowledge is preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Enterprise software sales - excellent sales capabilities required
  • University or Master’s degree preferred – or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Hunter/Closer mentality being able to generate new business on CXO/executive level
  • Well-founded business/contact network in UK and Ireland
  • Profound expertise in solution selling of complex software
  • Influential; perceived by prospective client as credible and consultative
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Team Management experience acquired in a prior position preferred
  • Profound knowledge of English language, additional languages are a plus
