• Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the market to ensure best value and practices are maintained.
• Taking ownership of the Procurement policy, guidelines and processes, including Purchase order (requisition) creation, validation and management
• Standardizing procurement and purchasing practices across all legal entities of the Group.
• Establishing and providing procurement training and compliance enhancement
• Acting as the main contact point for organisational procurement related questions.
• Negotiating contracts and service agreements with suppliers, developing, implementing and maintaining a good supplier relationship
• Researching options to source best value products and services.
• Driving automatization and further development of current procurement system.
• Driving the annual vendor review process.
• Supervising a purchasing team
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
• Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets
Qualifications and Experience Levels:
• Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant commercial discipline
• Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes and systems
• Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
• Proven contract management and supplier experience
• Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level
• Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes and components and supply chain management
• Computer literate, especially Excel skills
Educated to degree level (preferably Masters) in a relevant commercial discipline
