ABBYY Lingvo Dictionaries App Comes with iOS 7 Flat UI Design

December 6, 2013

ABBYY has launched the next update of its dictionary software for Apple® devices, now with support for the fresh-released iOS 7 and its all-new design.

A user interface of ABBYY Lingvo Dictionaries 3.7 comes in a modern, trendy flat style. A swift, simple access to translation functions, learning exercises and dictionary entries makes working with the application even more enjoyable. The word search history is now displayed right on the main screen to memorize encountered words in a quick and easy manner.

The updated version allows users to recommend Lingvo Dictionaries application to their relatives, friends, colleagues or coursemates via SMS, e-mail, Facebook or Twitter. It also enables them to turn the software into a good handy gift by simply tapping on the “Gift this app” button, buying the program through iTunes and sharing the gift code with a certain person.

ABBYY Lingvo Dictionaries 3.7 is an offline dictionary application to translate and learn words and phrases in 26 languages, with ability to purchase extra premium dictionaries from world-known publishers. Each entry contains translations alternatives, word’s transcription, usage examples, grammar and stylistic information. The application also delivers an offline photo translation feature, which is extremely useful when traveling abroad, and some special capabilities for effective learning words and phrases in many European languages.

ABBYY Lingvo Dictionaries 3.7 for iOS is available via the App Store® (accessible through iTunes®). It works smoothly with the Apple iPhone 4, 4S and 5 (iOS 7.0 and higher), iPod Touch 4 and 5 Gen, and is partially compatible with iPad 2, 3, 4 and mini (photo translation is not available). Supported interface languages include English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Ukrainian and Russian. For more information about the product, visit
