1.1 Conference - The Content IQ Summit London 2019 organized on 23rd-24th May, in London, UK. The official Conference website is: https://www.abbyy.com/content-iq-summit-london-2019/
1.2 Organizer – ABBYY Europe GmbH, having its registered seat in Landsberger Str. 300, 80687 Munich, Germany.
1.3 Participant - Natural person, who are 18 years old and have full capacity to perform acts in law, as well as legal persons and organizational units that do not have legal personality, but which are able to acquire rights and assume obligations in their own name, and which used the System to correctly register for the Conference, until 20th May, 2019.
1.4 Participation fee - The ticket price determined by the Organizer that must be paid by Participant by purchasing a ticket, so as to confirm his participation in the Conference.
1.5 System - An Internet application, owned and operated by the third party - Cvent, Inc, having its registered seat in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, which enables the supporting of the registering and Participation fee posting processes for Participant. To get registered for the Conference the Participant shall leave the Organizer’s website and continue to the System, hosted on the third party (Cvent) website.
2.1 The provisions contained in these Regulations constitute an integral part of applying for participation in the Conference and are applicable to all Participants
2.2 To participate in the Conference Participant must:
2.2.1 Register for the Conference, which can be done exclusively via an on-line form in System and available at https://www.abbyy.com/content-iq-summit-london-2019/.
2.2.2 Pay the Conference fee as defined under Section 3 hereunder. The moment of posting the Participation fee is considered that the Participant has signed a purchase-sale agreement with the Organizer, concerning the right to participate in the Conference.
2.3 The number of Conference places is limited. Participants will be enlisted on the first come first serve basis. The Organiser reserves the right to reject registration requests when the limit is reached.
2.4 The Conference shall be open for registration from 27 March 2019 until the last available place has been booked, but in any case no longer than until 20 May 2019.
2.5 Participation in the Conference shall be paid and shall include: Main sessions, FineReader Sessions, Lunch & refreshment breaks, Evening networking event.
2.6 The Organizer reserves a right to modify the list of speakers and/or the agenda for reasons beyond its control. The Organiser shall not be held liable in any way for damages vis-à-vis the Participants in such event.
2.7 The Participant are required to observe the regulations document applicable at the venue of the Conference, including especially principles of general safety, fire safety and security.
2.8 During the Conference, the Participant shall follow any housekeeping instructions that may be given by the Organiser and in particular shall refrain from recording of the keynote speech (in audio, video and photo formats, or any combination thereof).
2.9 Should a Participant be found to be in breach of the Conference Regulations, the Organiser shall have a right to refuse the Participant the right to participate in the Conference and request him or her to leave the Conference site or venue.
3.1 The Conference fee shall be 250 euro plus VAT.
3.2 The Conference fee shall be paid fully not later than registration end date indicated in para 2.4 above.
3.3 The registration can be done exclusively via an on-line form in System, meanwhile the Participant may choose payment option in registration process:
3.3.1 The System provides for the types of settlement and other Participation fee transaction conditions described at event website.
3.3.2 The Participant can also pay the Conference fee by Organizer’s invoice. A settlement date in this event shall be a value date.
3.4 The electronic ticket fully paid and received by the Participant is a confirmation of his right to participate in the Conference.
3.5 The Organizer reserves a right to alter the Conference date for reasons beyond its control. In such event, Participants shall have a right to cancel their participation free of any charge.
3.6 The Participant has a right to cancel his participation by any reason before the preliminary date - not later than 5 (five) business days before the Conference date free of any charge except both of the following charges:
3.6.1 Payment and refund processing fee – 10 % (ten percent) from the ticket cost, include VAT.
3.7 The Participant also has a right to cancel his participation before the Conference date but after the preliminary date identified in para 2.8. In such event the Organizer shall not reimburse the Participation fee paid.
3.8 In the event identified in para 2.10 the Participation fee is non-refundable.
3.9 The contact details of registered delegates will be placed on the attendee list which will be passed to Conference sponsoring companies for the purpose of networking and meetings.
4.1. The Participant grants the Organiser a license to display, perform, publish, modify and transmit content furnished for the purposes of participation in the Conference including identify Participant, and to promote and market the Organiser and Participant 's representation thereon in marketing and promotional materials, before and after the Conference date. The the Organiser has the right to use each copyright, trademark, trade name, service mark, graphic, photograph, or any other intellectual property in the way it is intended to be used under this Regulations.
4.2. During the Conference, the Organiser may arrange photo sessions and may film the course of the Conference for the purposes of broadcasting in the media (TV, radio, Internet, press) or for the purposes of documentation, marketing, or advertising for the Organiser or other parties named by the Organiser. By participating in the Conference Participants give their implicit permission for the recording, use an/or dissemination by the Organiser, parties related to it of each Participant’s image, voice, expression in any promotional and marketing materials without limitation of time or territory. This permission means specifically that photo, video and audio recordings taken during he Conference may be placed on the Conference website or another website managed by the Organiser or his affilated entities, as well as used in marketing materials, including by dissemination in audio or video formats. The Participant hereby weave any claims (existing or future), including for compensation from the Organiser for such use of their image, voice or expression for the purposes defined hereunder.
5.1 In any case the Organiser shall not be responsible for covering any additional expenses of the Participants made in association with the Conference.
5.2 The Organizer shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the parties which may obstruct or prevent the Conference.
5.3 Any disputes arising in relation to the Conference participation shall be decided by courts with jurisdiction for the Organiser.
5.4 If The Participant has any claim under this Regulation, the claim may only be asserted within one (1) year of the date upon which the cause of action arose.
5.5 The Organizer shall not be liable whatsoever for the Participant’s property that may be lost, destroyed or stolen during the Conference.
5.6 The Participant shall be fully liable for any damage they cause both in the venues involved in any Conference activities and in their accommodation.
5.7 Any complaints by the Participant to the Organizer as regards the non-compliance of the services provided to the Participant with the terms of this Agreement shall be recognized only if submitted during the time of the Conference and if made in writing and signed by the duly authorized representatives of both parties. No claims by the Participant shall be recognized by the Organizer if submitted after the end of the Conference.
5.8 In no event will the total liability of the Organiser exceed the amount of Conference fee.
5.9 Participant shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Organiser and its affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents and employees from and against any and all claims of loss, liability, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) made against or sustained by them based on, arising out of or relating to (i) any third party claim and dispute arising out of or relating to a breach of any representation, warranty or covenant of Participant hereunder; or (ii) the information provided by Participant t to the Organizer.
5.10 DISCLAIMERS. THE ORGANIZER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT OR THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE ORGANIZER’S WEBSITE OR SYSTEM, ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES OR INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ORGANIZER, THE ACCURACY OF, OR RESULTS TO BE OBTAINED BY, USE OF ORGANIZER PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, THE PLACEMENT OF PARTICIPANT CONTENT, OR SECURITY OF THE SYSTEM OR SERVICES.
5.11 Miscellaneous. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes in the Regulations.
Participants accept these Regulations.
