Technical Support Representative (Japanese and English languages)

Overall Purpose

We invite you to join our team of 1st line support of mass products on a position of Technical Support Representative who will be the first contact point for ABBYY in providing support and customer satisfaction. This position requires the person to maintain a professional communication with customers on a daily basis.

This role requires great technical communication skills, time management, and judgment to prioritize tasks appropriately. You will need to keep up and learn the current technology!  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting incoming issues from customers and responding accordingly;
  • Isolating and reproducing product issues, file reports and assisting in providing timely workarounds and fixes to our customers;
  • Providing consultative advice to customers related to usage of ABBYY products; 
  • Escalating issues to proper management with complete information;
  • Follow up with customers when promised/scheduled.


Mandatory Skill Set:

  • Higher education preferably in technical field or linguistics;
  • Advanced level of Japanese and upper-intermediate level of English;
  • Awareness of Japanese culture and good understanding of business and consumer customers in the Japan market;
  • Ability to grasp product and technical knowledge quickly;
  • Ability to identify problems and define solutions quickly;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent work standards and high motivation;
  • Good general IT knowledge;


Optional Requirements (will be an advantage):

  • Previous experience in technical support
