Content Creator/Copywriter (f/m/d)

Overall Purpose

As content creator for ABBYY, you will place a crucial role in building the company’s message to customers and partners. You will serve as a voice for written communications across various media - ranging from the company website, to marketing campaigns, brochures and events.

With a passion for storytelling, language and texting, you will help ensure the quality and consistency of company, solution and product messaging. You will creatively work to find new ways to address the customer. You will work with a variety of stakeholders and collaborators across the organization as part of an international team.


  • Manage a yearly, quarterly, and monthly calendar of projects, ensuring on-time project delivery and adjusting the calendar to meet ongoing changes in plans and strategies
  • Conceptualize, write and edit content for a variety of marketing campaigns and programmes according to concept briefs. Create a range of texts from product presentations, to website and landing page texts, longer form e-books and white papers, social media posts, and more
  • Review and copyedit a variety of text and content to ensure quality of writing and message consistency
  • Manage and review content delivery from third party writers and subject matter experts, when necessary
  • Supervise content localization into multiple languages, ensuring quality and accuracy of the text/translation and alignment with core messages
  • Coordinate content projects to final on-time delivery, working with a variety of executional teams including product marketing, graphic design, and web delivery teams
  • Ensure high standards of writing practice across the marketing organization through creation and update of style guides
  • Ensure proper use of company brand identity guidelines
  • Collaborate with management, product marketing, and corporate marketing stakeholders in development of yearly corporate content strategies and goals

Skills/ Knowledge

  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent preferred
  • English language fluency and strong English writing and grammar skills, including the ability to write and copyedit English texts – ranging from marketing texts to more technical documentation
  • Proven experience in writing texts for B2B technology industry communications in a variety of formats. Ability to work with technical concepts and transform them into customer-friendly, business-oriented messages
  • Excellent copywriting, copyediting and grammar skills
  • Ability to adapt messaging for difference audiences and message delivery formats
  • Understanding of the role of marketing texts as part of the integrated marketing mix. Training and experience in related areas such as website delivery, online marketing and SEO, social media, and content marketing
  • Intermediate level fluency in either German or French. Basic knowledge of Italian, Spanish, and/or other languages a plus
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to work and strong project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver projects on time, sometimes under strict deadlines. Ability to manage priorities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and communicate with many stakeholders ranging from corporate executives, to marketing teams and customers
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
