Inside Sales Representative (f/m/d)

ABBYY Europe is a region within a fast-growing private global software company that requires additional Inside Sales Representatives to support our growth and expansion by reaching out and selling via inbound and outbound calls to new and existing customers and partners. The job requires selling products and services that include ABBYY’s full product line, providing answers along with an excellent customer and partner experience while driving revenue. The Inside Sales person’s job involves:

  • Qualification, tracking and following up on the leads the ABBYY marketing organization generates.
  • Acquisition and development of new leads via cold calling campaigns
  • Execution of customer reactivation campaigns (phone / e-mail).
  • Documentation and ownership of lead and opportunity data in the CRM system (
  • Additionally, the inside salesperson will be expected to negotiate and close their own sales opportunities.


  • Perform lead (inbound and marketing generated) qualification, opportunity identification, needs analysis, budget availability, and identify decision makers at all prospect levels
  • Sell ABBYY products and services to new customers in assigned market segment
  • Meet the assigned monthly revenue quota
  • Provide sales support for existing customers and partners
  • Participate fully in product training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes
  • Work with sales reps and executives to determine essential daily and weekly sales and partner support objectives and responsibilities
  • When needed, attend trade shows and conferences
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activities on assigned leads, accounts, and opportunities in SalesForce
  • Maintain required activity metrics, via phone calls, appointments, demos and sales funnel development
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on product roadmap, industry changes, and competitive landscape
  • Responsible for customer communication and assist new and existing customer implementations
  • Other tasks as assigned


  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Prior customer service or sales centric role in a call center environment or tech industry
  • Multilingual proficiency
  • Independent thinker and self-starter
  • Excellent telephone sales skills, also in multilingual environment
  • Full proficiency in English and German or French
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a passion for contacting clients by phone, email, SMS, Skype and use of webinar technology
  • Highly proficient level computer skills including Microsoft Office, SalesForce, Internet, Webinar and social media tools
  • Proficient organizational skills and product presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Highly energy and self-starter
  • Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities
  • Experience in sales within an Inside Sales team a plus
  • 2-4 years selling technology with technical support experience a plus
