Internal Communications Manager (f/m)

Overall Purpose

We are looking for an English-speaking Internal Communications Manager (f/m) that will be responsible for the implementation of our internal communication programmes, employee engagement and cultural activities in line with the company’s new strategy for ABBYY.

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional who can think globally with a clear understanding of the company’s business and markets. A demonstrated ability for creating immersive content and building strong narratives is essential.


As Internal Communications Manager, you will work with multiple teams in ABBYY international offices – from management to sales and product marketing -- to build interesting, creative, and customer-oriented messages. In this role, you will support the organisation in effectively communicating the company’s mission, strategy, objectives and values to a wide range of internal stakeholders.


The successful candidate will report to the global Head of Internal Communications and CSR Group and strive to be a true “people’s person”, with the ability to build great relationships at all levels within the organisation.

This role involves:

  • Supporting the company’s internal communications strategy
  • Developing and nurturing relationships with internal newsmakers
  • Leveraging knowledge, creativity and customer understanding to create a variety of content in English for internal communication channels
  • Conducting interviews with internal stakeholders for internal purposes
  • Developing ABBYY Internal social network – Workplace, monitoring user activity
  • Reviewing and copyediting texts to be distributed via different communication channels
  • Assisting in organizing internal events including planning and carrying out the logistics of internal communications activities and events that contribute to team member engagement
  • Working closely with HR on key initiatives

Skills/ Knowledge

  • University Degree preferred (BA/BS) or equivalent
  • Previous corporate work experience in a communications focused role
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills, with proven experience
  • Fluency in English, including the ability to write and edit English texts
  • Fluency in German
  • Strong people skills, the ability to communicate effectively with different internal stakeholders
  • Proactive approach, ability to work on own initiative as well within a team
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and complete tasks and projects efficiently
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
  • Good MS Office skills
