Marketing Manager (f/m/d)

Overall Purpose

The ABBYY Europe Regional Marketing Executive manages a variety of integrated marketing programs – including lead generation, event planning & execution, online marketing, and advertising. As part of the Europe demand generation team, this role focuses on promoting ABBYY products in the DACH region, while maintaining strong relationships with relevant sales managers, partners, and various international colleagues. 

This position is based in our Munich, Germany office and reports directly to the Demand Generation Country Manager.


  • Develop and execute demand/lead generation strategy aligned with ABBYY’s strategic business and brand objectives in the particular region of responsibility (DACH);
  • Research, develop, plan and implement demand generation campaigns, incl. manage ABBYY owned events as well as participation in third party activities;
  • Research, develop, plan and implement online marketing demand gen campaigns, incl. content promotion, webinars, whitepapers creation etc;
  • Cooperate with partners to generate and execute co-marketing lead generation activities;
  • Track and analyze campaign results using marketing automation and CRM systems;
  • Proactive research of up-to-date demand generation practices and their implementation;
  • Tight cooperation with product marketing, sales, and PR teams to deliver results and meet Marketing Qualified Leads and Sales Qualified Leads quota;
  • Marketing budget planning, controlling and reporting;
  • Travel to support tradeshow activity and partner meetings (approximately 3 to 6 times per year).


  • 3 to 5 years work experience in B2B marketing, preferably in the IT/Software industry, with responsibilities related to event planning and marketing communications. Should possess working-level knowledge of key marketing concepts and be able to apply them in day-to day operations, such as best practices in event marketing, digital marketing and content, advertising, direct mail, etc;
  • University degree;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Full proficiency in German (writing and editing);
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage ongoing relationships with multiple business groups including sales team, understanding their changing needs and updating them on regional efforts, partners, marketing vendors, and other groups;
  • Strategic thinking with superb attention to detail. Must possess the ability to work with a variety of technical details while planning and executing, look after a variety of details when managing events, identify mistakes and grammar issues with texts;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Ability to work well in an informal, fast-paced work environment;
  • Full working proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint;
  • Intermediate proficiency of Web Content Management;
  • Additional technical skills not required, but are a plus: Marketo, Salesforce, and/or other CRM systems.
