PR and Corporate Communications Executive (f/m)

Overall Purpose

We are looking for a dedicated PR and communications professional who can think strategically, globally, understand the company’s business and markets, and build powerful narratives.

As PR and corporate communications executive, you will work with multiple teams, internal and external in Munich and international offices — from management, to sales and product marketing — to build interesting, creative, and customer-oriented messages that communicate the ABBYY story to the market. You will also work on a global scale, maintaining close contact with other international groups to align strategies, messages and activities. You will report to the global Head of PR Group.

International Public Relations

Raise the company profile to external audiences through ongoing communication through press and influencers. Serve as a central driver of public relations strategies for Western European countries including, but not limited to, Germany/Austria/Switzerland (DACH), the United Kingdom, and France.

  • Develop regional PR communications plan incorporating feedback from management, product marketing, and other marketing teams
  • Manage the day-to-day work of regional PR agencies and free-lancers
  • Serve as a central point for regional PR vendors and agency activities ensuring campaign alignment across regions and measuring effectiveness of activities
  • Ensure alignment of regional plans with global strategies
  • Serve as an ambassador for the ABBYY corporate message and positioning, ensuring mes-sage cohesiveness across campaigns
  • Leverage knowledge, creativity and customer understanding to create a variety of PR content including press releases, media briefs, pitches, customer case studies, and thought leadership texts
  • Review and copyedit texts from internal and external sources
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key media and influencers
  • Work as part of a dynamic international team to align international media strategies, coordinate timelines and review outbound messages
  • Support regional social media activities
  • Manage spokesperson activities
  • Provide ongoing assessment of campaign results and achievement against yearly goals


  • University Degree preferred (BA/BS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in delivering public relations/media relations campaigns, or work as a journalist
  • Expertise in B2B technology industry communications
  • Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills, with proven experience creating public relations texts
  • Understanding of the role of PR within the integrated marketing mix.
  • Fluency in English, including the ability to write and edit English texts
  • Fluency in German, good command of French is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively to different internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive approach and ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver projects on time, sometimes under strict deadlines
  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to work
