Solution Architect – Spain & Portugal (f/m)

ABBYY is a leading provider of document recognition and data capture software technologies and solutions. Our products include the ABBYY FineReader line of optical character recognition (OCR) applications, ABBYY FlexiCapture line of data capture solutions and associated software development toolkits (SDKs). Paper-in-tensive organisations from all over the world use ABBYY software to automate time- and labour-consuming tasks and to streamline business processes.

We are looking for a highly skilled technical professional to fill an opening we have in the Customer Enablement team. The role will be based in Spain covering Spain and Portugal but will be reporting to the Head of Customer Enablement based in UK.

General Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical/project consultancy in support of sales at client meetings and on conference calls
  • Discuss, capture and define customer requirements
  • Work with the Sales teams to exploit the commercial opportunities for the ABBYY range of products and solutions
  • Organise trainings for customers and partners
  • Responsible for Solution Architecture from requirement capture and design to implementation handover
  • Working closely with members of the Sales, Service and Solution Delivery teams to ensure projects be delivered on time, to specification and within budget
  • Implement small projects by yourself

Candidate Requirements

  • University degree, preferably in computer science
  • Proven Experience of the IT software industry, ideally, in Content, Document, or Process Management, or other business applications
  • Knowledge of DM solutions ideal
  • Software development using Microsoft .Net Framework (C#, VB.NET)
  • Proficient User in Spanish and English, Portuguese and other language as a plus
  • Ability to work from home
  • Driving license / open to travel (20 to 50 %)
