Technical Trainer

What will I be doing? Our Technical Trainers are part of a global team, focusing on creating, managing, and delivering quality training education services to enterprise customers and reselling partners. You will support our users across North America, through onsite and distance training programs. Your expertise will span across the ABBYY portfolio of products and across numerous industries. You will work closely with our content creators to ensure a comprehensive and successful training experience for all.

Where will I work? ABBYY is proud to offer remote employment opportunities for many of our roles. Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create curriculum, training plans, and content specific to products and audiences
  • Implement training methods appropriate for the objective
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to assist in building and executing the training program
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate training content
  • Conduct training classes and online training as required
  • Actively pursues personal training and development opportunities and relevant certifications
  • Maintain subject matter expertise in industry trends, applications & best practices through regular research and continued education
  • Some travel required

Mandatory Skill Sets and Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred major in Education or Training
    • MBA or MS is a plus
  • Experience:
    • 3 to 5 years’ r experience in role or industry
  • Additional Skills:
    • Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Critical thinker with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
    • Works well under pressure
    • Patience and good listening skills
    • Ability to grasp product and technical knowledge quickly
    • Excellent presentation creation and deliver skills
    • Strong time management skills
    • Proven solid training technique and knowledge of web deliver tools
    • Lead and develop trainings in a corporate environment with focus on partners and customers
    • Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on PowerPoint
    • Works independently with minimal supervision
    • Prior software implementation experience preferred
    • Multilingual skills a plus
