ABBYY®, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture, linguistic technologies and professional services, and Global Imaging Systems (GIS), a leading provider of business technology solutions, today announced a new strategic distribution relationship. Under this agreement, GIS will distribute select ABBYY products and software support services through its established network of resellers within the United States.
"Every one of our customers is looking for better ways to address their document management initiatives and handle the paper in their environment," said Sylvia Carrizosa, Director, Corporate Business Development & Marketing, GIS. "Adding ABBYY's solutions to our offerings enables us to address the full spectrum of document management issues our customers face. The relationship between our organizations not only extends the GIS solutions portfolio and provides greater choice to our customers, but increases the value we provide."

With the addition of ABBYY's solutions to their product offerings, GIS will be able to more effectively meet the demanding document management and forms automation needs of its small, medium, and enterprise customers.
