ABBYY, a leading developer of document recognition and linguistic software, and Xerox International Group have signed an agreement to supply ABBYY FineReader Sprint Plus text recognition software for Xerox multifunction devices. The first device to be equipped with this software will be the Xerox WorkCentre PE220 and will appear on the market in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India, Africa, Eurasia as well as in Russia this spring.

ABBYY FineReader Sprint Plus is the most popular and precise text and image recognition program on the Russian market. It allows users to scan and recognize texts without complicated formatting. The software recognizes documents in 177 languages, including Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, English, Spanish, Italian, German, and French. The results are editable in all popular office applications, including email and web use.
The ABBYY FineReader application will be supplied with multifunctional devices in all countries where Xerox International Group operates. Xerox International Group markets Xerox products in over 100 countries of the world across Eastern Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East, Africa and India.
