ABBYY FlexiCapture Engine can receive images from three types of sources: document scanning, opening from files, or directly from memory.
Upon receiving images, FlexiCapture Engine performs a range of image preprocessing functions to improve the quality of document images for further recognition or archiving.
Document analysis refers to the methods of automatically identifying components of a document. ABBYY’s award-winning FlexiCapture Technology provides a solution for a wide variety of data capture problems by giving the system increased intelligence and flexibility.
ABBYY as a world leading company in document recognition offers the highest OCR, ICR, OMR and barcode recognition accuracy and widest language support – 198 for OCR and 112 for ICR technologies.
Data verification is performed by comparing recognition results with the image of any document part. When the program is not absolutely certain about the accuracy of recognition of a certain characters, it marks them as recognized "unreliably." The purpose of the verification process is to verify such characters and correct any errors if necessary.
FlexiCapture Engine offers effective and convenient instruments for checking the validity of captured data and tracking recognition errors.
ABBYY FlexiCapture Engine allows you to export all relevant data into backend applications and converts analysed documents into searchable PDF or PDF/A for archiving purposes. Data Capture technologies export data to structured formats (XML, CSV) or other storage location. Images of the original documents can be also saved.
