Business Problem:
In the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) products industry processing of the certificates of Analysis (COA) presents multiple challenges due to different formats used by the suppliers, requirements of the quality control teams to validate the extracted details with the internal specifications and the need for strict compliance with different industry standards by agencies like FDA, ISO, FSSAI etc. Any failure in compliance leads to product recalls, fines and reputation/brand damages.

Solution Highlight:
The challenge was addressed through the usage of generative AI capabilities for validation and enrichment of data extracted from the CoA document. The system uses specifications from the core systems as context grounding along with validation ability using ABBYY Vantages , saving several days of manual effort. The ABBYY Vantage and Azure Open AI as GenAI provider, but can work with any other providers as well.
