ABBYY Appoints Mariko Maeda President and Representative Director of ABBYY Japan to Grow Japanese market

ABBYY, an intelligent automation company focused on providing intelligent document processing (IDP) and process mining solutions, is pleased to announce that Mariko Maeda has been appointed President and Representative Director of ABBYY Japan Co., Ltd.

Adrian Jones, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of ABBYY, said, "I am very pleased to announce that Mariko Maeda has been appointed President and Representative Director of Japan. She has been a senior leader in the enterprise and held senior positions at Dow Jones Japan, Thomson Reuters, Automation Anywhere and GreyOrange. She has a passion and deep understanding of the Japanese intelligent automation market and with domestic and foreign financial institutions, major business corporations, government agencies, and major consulting companies. Mariko is the right person to accelerate the expansion of the Japanese market with her energy and enthusiasm for technology. IDC forecasts the Asia-Pacific-Japan market for intelligent process automation (IPA) will grow to $5.5 billion by 2025[1] and the global market opportunity will reach $42.5 billion. IPA is a combination of technologies used to manage and automate digital processes and includes intelligent automation platforms such as robotic process automation (RPA), intelligent document processing, process mining, AI and machine learning. ABBYY is a recognized leader by industry analysts for its IDP and process mining solutions.

Before joining ABBYY, Mariko Maeda had overseen the Japanese and Korean teams at GreyOrange, a leading company in automated robots based in the United States. She also has extensive experience leading sales strategies and revenue growth focused on sales, solution consulting, operations, and customer experience. She received her Master’s degree from Waseda University.
