New Version Combines Extended Support for European Languages with a Special Christmas Interface
ABBYY, a leading provider of document recognition, document capture, and linguistic technologies and services, today announced the availability of ABBYY Business Card Reader 3.5, a new release of its business card reading and contact managing application for the Apple® iPhone®. Based on the enhanced version of Mobile OCR Engine, the program recognizes text in 19 languages, including multilingual business cards, – now with support for Polish and Estonian. New European interface languages (such as German, French, Italian and Spanish) and a special Christmas interface theme make the application more enjoyable and easy-to-use.
Business Card Reader 3.5 for the iPhone has a Free trial version that allows users to preview recognition results on a device’s display and save some types of contact data to the address book (first and last name, the first detected phone number and a link to Facebook profile of the contact). It also allows users to look up information about the contact in the Facebook®.
Availability
ABBYY Business Card Reader 3.5 for the iPhone and its Free trial version are available via the Apple AppStore (accessible through iTunes®). The supported devices include the Apple® iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 (OS 3.1 or later) with autofocus.
