Featured by Macworld, ABBYY’s powerful application for transferring contact information from business cards into mobile devices is now available on Windows Phone. A lifesaver for business individuals, it helps instantly capture, manage and store work-related contacts separately from personal ones.

ABBYY Business Card Reader for Windows Phone automatically recognizes printed text from mobile snapshots of paper cards. You can save the extracted data as a perfect digital card directly into the People Hub – a smart address book and one-stop shop in one. Alternatively, captured cards can be saved into the application own searchable storage for managing contacts – CardHolder. There you can sort your contacts by first or last name, or date, add editable notes and launch online Maps to look up street addresses.

“We are glad that this new powerful tool for business users is now available at Windows phone Store. We believe our customers would like the benefit of transferring and saving contact information directly into their smartphones from multiple business cards. What’s more important, they shouldn’t keep all these cards anymore – emails and other contacts are always at hand”, said Dmitry Marchenko, Head of partner mobile apps and services development, Microsoft Russia.

Business Card Reader for Windows Phone is based on ABBYY’s powerful Mobile Optical Character Recognition (MOCR) technology and provides high accuracy for capturing contact information in 21 languages, with up to 3 languages at a time for multilingual cards.
