A newly released version of ABBYY FineScanner for iOS with full support of Apple tablets is now available at the Apple Store. The update features a true iPad interface with portrait and landscape orientation to easily create high-quality digital copies of images and texts using device’s camera. Based on ABBYY Mobile Imaging technology, it makes iPads a tangible alternative to many portable and office scanning devices.

With ABBYY FineScanner 3.0, it is now more convenient to treat scanned data before saving by giving them file names and tags, both personal and default, in a “Document properties” window. This improves visual perception of your scanning results list and helps with a quick search for particular scans. If you wish, you can always edit these parameters or replace them with new ones.

"Tablets and smartphones are getting new competitive advantages that laptops and desktops simply lack. With this release combining broad iPad screen and ABBYY technologies, you can leverage mobile scanning in a daily life or at a job”, explained Katya Solntseva, director of mobile platform products department at ABBYY. “Now you can easily make high-quality images of paper documents and hand-written texts, whiteboards or PC screens wherever and whenever you like".
