Joe Budelli Receives AIIM 2012 Distinguished Service Award

ABBYY USA Senior Vice President of Sales is Recognized at AIIM Annual Awards Celebration

 

ABBYY® USA, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies and services, today announced that Joe Budelli, senior vice president of sales, has been recognized by AIIM, the global community of information professionals, as a 2012 Distinguished Service Award recipient. Budelli was presented the award for his outstanding service over the past 12 months towards the advancement of the information management profession.

 

"As a recognized community leader, our North American Chairman and member of the AIIM International Board of Directors, Joe has been invaluable to the information management industry throughout his career, and is deserving of wide recognition," stated John Mancini, AIIM president. "We thank him for his contribution to the information professional community and congratulate him as a 2012 Distinguished Service Award recipient."

 

In the role of Senior Vice President of Sales at ABBYY USA, Budelli is responsible for customer development in Latin America, North America, Taiwan and Japan. Budelli served as the North American Trademember Chairman for AIIM and also served as a member of the International Board of Directors. Since joining ABBYY in 2001, Budelli has held many positions of increasing responsibility at the company, and has fostered many the company's relationships, including leveraging his role to participate in many AIIM research studies. Budelli began his professional life with a B.S. in Marketing from San Diego State University and has spent 18 years out of his 25+-year career working in the document recognition and data capture technology fields.

Budelli was honored at the AIIM Awards Celebration on Wednesday, March 21 at The City Club in San Francisco in conjunction with the AIIM Conference 2012 . Additional 2012 award recipients include: Dan Antion, American Nuclear Insurers; Cherie Ekholm, Microsoft Corporation; Tom Motzel, Tesserae Talent Strategies; Greg Pisocky, Adobe Systems, Inc.; Leonard Rosenthol, Adobe Systems, Inc.
