ABBYY Expands Distribution Channel through Strategic Relationship with The Douglas Stewart Company

The Douglas Stewart Company, will distribute select ABBYY products and technologies through its established network of educational resellers within the United States and Canada.

 

ABBYY®, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies and professional services, today announced a new strategic distribution relationship with The Douglas Stewart Company, expanding the company's reach into the educational market. Under this agreement, The Douglas Stewart Company, will distribute select ABBYY products and technologies through its established network of educational resellers within the United States and Canada.

The Douglas Stewart Company is the leading distributor and marketer of computer products, consumer electronics and school supplies serving the education market, with more than 10,000 products offered to their network of 4,500 resellers. The company maintains a complete offering of solutions under the computer accessories, consumer electronics, interactive learning, hardware, school and dorm, and software categories.

ABBYY products included in the distribution agreement with The Douglas Stewart Company include:

  • FineReader - A highly intelligent OCR (optical character recognition) software program for creating editable and searchable electronic files from scanned paper documents, PDFs and digital photographs.
  • Recognition Server - A server-based solution designed for mid- to high-volume document processing across large departments and enterprises.
  • PDF Transformer - A multilingual solution for easily converting any type of PDF into editable formats with the original layout and formatting retained.
