Technology Partnership Combines Intelligent Data Capture with Industry-Leading Document Management System
ABBYY, a world leader in the development of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies, today announced it has formed a technology partnership with DocuWare, a leading provider of Integrated Document Management (IDM) solutions. Under this new partnership, ABBYY will customize its data capture product FlexiCapture to translate data and seamlessly integrate it with DocuWare's eponymous document management system. As a result, customers can use ABBYY FlexiCapture technology to scan and extract data from forms or documents, while DocuWare automates business processes by managing any type of document, regardless of format or source. FlexiCapture intelligently extracts data from forms and documents of all types including invoices, claim forms, resumes, contracts and loan documents.
“We are very pleased to announce that we are working with DocuWare to incorporate data capture into existing document management processes and making the seamless, integrated solution available to any DocuWare user,” said Dean Tang, president and CEO at ABBYY USA. “The combined solution improves efficiency by extracting transactional data and/or metadata in one step which allows Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system to integrate with back office systems efficiently, and index the documents automatically.”
In addition, ABBYY FlexiCapture will be made readily available to DocuWare’s reseller partners who want to extend their offering and expand their business. FlexiCapture provides an intuitive interface that enables VARs and integrators to easily define processing rules and offer their customers automated, customized and accurate data capture and forms-processing capabilities.
“ABBYY’s leading data capture solutions provide the ease-of-use and accuracy demanded by our partners and customers, directly within our familiar environment,” said Greg Schloemer, at DocuWare. “We look forward to seeing some very innovative implementations and uses of this integrated system.”
