Technology Partnership Integrates Intelligent Data Capture and Enterprise Content Management Systems
ABBYY, a world leader in the development of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies, and Liberty IMS, a leading software provider for the enterprise content management industry, today announced they have formalized a strategic partnership to integrate and promote their respective solutions. Through this partnership, the companies have created seamless integration between ABBYY FlexiCapture and LibertyNET, enabling users to scan and intelligently extract data from forms or documents, such as invoices or contracts, and automatically export images with metadata into LibertyNET. The combined solution uses captured images with metadata from FlexiCapture to drive LibertyNET workflows and other LibertyNET Application Builder (LAB) services.
“Through the partnership with ABBYY, our customers gain the benefit of a complete solution for combining intelligent capture with the full family of flexible, easily deployed LibertyNET Application Builder services,” said Liberty IMS CEO Lloyd Warman. “Our channel partners and customers can deliver best of breed solutions for a wide range of horizontal and vertical applications using this combined solution.”
LibertyNET is an integrated, flexible and feature-rich platform designed to meet a wide variety of information management needs. In a single platform, LibertyNET provides capabilities for electronic document management, records management, process automation, workflow, digital asset management, COLD/ERM, e-forms, e-mail management and more.
ABBYY FlexiCapture employs Intelligent Document Classification technology to automate the sorting of mixed batches of documents, including appendices and attachments. Intelligent document recognition (IDR) technology and ABBYY’s award-winning recognition technologies for machine print (OCR), handprint (ICR), check and radio group mark (OMR), and barcode recognition provide comprehensive automation of the data extraction process.
“This new partnership will significantly reduce the prohibitively high forms-processing costs, making the best-of-breed data capture, ECM and workflow solutions accessible to even small and medium-sized businesses,” said Dean Tang, president and CEO at ABBYY USA. “Liberty is a recognized leader in providing enterprise content management and workflow software to a variety of vertical industries, and we are pleased to work with them to introduce this powerful, integrated solution to the market.”
Liberty IMS is the award winning provider of LibertyNET software platforms for document management, report management, records management, document imaging, and unstructured data management. Major product lines include LibertyNET Enterprise (LNE) for rapid deployment of scaleable, tailored solutions without the need for complex integration programming, and LibertyNET Office (LNO) for deployment of basic document management systems using MFPs. Based in Costa Mesa, California, Liberty IMS delivers solutions through value-added resellers and OEMs to major vertical industry groups including transportation and logistics, government, financial, healthcare, and more.
