ABBYY Expands FormReader Sales Channels Through New Partnership with SWING S.r.l. in Italy

New Partner to Launch Sales of ABBYY FormReader With a Free Form Processing Seminar in Milan, Italy 

ABBYY and a leading provider of linguistic and document and text recognition software, today announced expansion of its product distribution channels in Italy. Through a new partnership, SWING S.r.l has signed with ABBYY as a certified reseller for ABBYY’s form processing software, ABBYY FormReader.

SWING, an integrator of document information technologies, will resell ABBYY FormReader to resellers, integrators and key customers. SWING has worked closely with ABBYY engineering teams for full technical certification and will thus provide support services and development assistance to customers working with the ABBYY FormReader line of products, and particularly ABBYY’s enterprise and development level products: ABBYY FormReader Enterprise Edition and ABBYY FormReader Developer Edition. ABBYY FormReader customers will benefit from the many years of experience that SWING engineers have gained in developing, customising, and integrating document and knowledge management solutions.

To kick off the new partnership, SWING will host a free form processing seminar in Milan, Italy in joint cooperation with Fujitsu Italy. At the event to be hosted 10 June 2003, SWING, Fujitsu, and ABBYY will provide information and training on how to create and process large amounts of machine and handprinted forms. The teams will also introduce Italian resellers and integrators to ABBYY’s newest form processing solution: ABBYY FormReader 6.0. Fujitsu Italy will provide an overview of scanning solutions for form processing. About ABBYY FormReader 6.0

ABBYY FormReader 6.0 provides automatic capture of data from forms for export into information management systems and databases. Based on ABBYY’s award-winning recognition engine, FormReader is designed to extract and read: machine print (OCR), handprinted letters and numbers (ICR), check marks (OMR), and barcodes (OBR).
