ABBYY®, a leading provider of document recognition, document capture, and linguistic technologies and professional services, today named Butch Reh as the vice president of sales. With more than 25 years of sales and product marketing experience, including fulfilling both functions within his business development role at ABBYY USA over the last five years, Reh joins the company’s executive team to drive revenue growth initiatives and manage day‐to‐day operations for the Engine product lines in the U.S., Taiwan and Japan sales territories.

“Butch not only has an excellent track record of growing revenue streams with customers of all sizes, but also brings a deep understanding of the document recognition and data capture needs organizations face both internally and when integrating the technologies into their own solutions,” said Joe Budelli, senior vice president of sales at ABBYY USA. “His strong vision and ability to execute and meet customer needs make him a great addition to the ABBYY USA management team, and will help the company capitalize on current opportunities to grow market share for our Engine products in the U.S. and Asia.”

During his career, Reh has created and managed successful sales and product marketing teams in the enterprise software market, including ABBYY, Daybreak ICS and EMC Captiva. As the Director of Business Development at ABBYY USA over the last five years, Reh managed the Engine product’s business development team, focusing on increasing penetration into OEM markets. He also was responsible for maintaining and expanding revenue with major enterprise accounts and managing strategic relationship with U.S.‐based Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution providers. Prior to joining ABBYY USA, Reh served as the director of strategic alliances at Daybreak ICS, a software development startup.

“Organizations are continually looking for ways to not only manage the information and data around them, but also transform their data into formats where it can be better analyzed and shared,” said Reh. “ABBYY USA’s Engine products enable organizations to incorporate powerful document recognition and data capture technologies into their solutions, simplifying efforts to make data more useful and enabling for more informed decisions to be made. I look forward to working alongside the rest of the ABBYY USA management team to lead the push towards enabling true information transformation for our customers.”
