PC Magazine Gives ABBYY FineReader 8.0 Its 4-Star Rating, Calling FineReader “One of the Best OCR Programs Available”
Two top technology publications in as many weeks distinguish FineReader as one of the industry's leading OCR products
ABBYY today announced that ABBYY FineReader 8.0 Professional was given PC Magazine's 4-star rating, categorizing FineReader as “Very Good” according to PC Magazine's rating system, just after PC World gave FineReader its own “Superior” (93 out of 100) rating.
In line with PC World's recent review in which the magazine called FineReader “versatile, easy to use, and highly accurate”, PC Magazine in turn called FineReader “one of the best OCR programs available.”
PC Magazine noted that ABBYY FineReader offers “better than 99 percent accuracy” and contains “tools to improve recognition on a wider range of originals.” It called FineReader's new automation manager “a welcome new feature” and found its Digital Camera OCR feature “intriguing.”
