As a global company, ABBYY is aware of its social responsibility. It is our strong desire to put the
knowledge and experience to the benefit of our customers as well as the wider community because we are
convinced that good deeds breed more good deeds.
When implementing ABBYY’s social responsibility programs, as an intelligent automation company, we must not
neglect our business interests, while changing the world around us for the better.
ABBYY CSR principles
ABBYY’s corporate social responsibility strategy is based on three principles:
Alignment with Business Strategy
ABBYY, as an intelligent automation company, is committed to developing innovative technologies that drive
digital transformation leading to efficient business processes. Therefore, ABBYY is interested in investing
in the development of Tech-related skills within the wider community.
Alignment with Corporate Culture
ABBYY aims to encourage responsible behavior and investing in ecosystems, society, and the environment, and
welcomes feedback from both employees as well as our customers and partners, using it as an avenue for
continuous improvement of its CSR strategy.
ABBYY encourages its global workforce to commit to responsible practices in their daily work, supported by
the principle of “Doing the right thing” - one of the key drivers for our corporate culture. Feedback on
social and environmental responsibility is welcomed both from the internal and external stakeholders, whose
views help ABBYY shape its CSR strategy.
#OneABBYY Community Building support
ABBYY runs core CSR initiatives globally and regionally. These are accessible to all employees within the
relevant global, regional, and local groups in which they are organized. Participation in these initiatives
is encouraged across the organization, and informal groups are set up in order to aid teamwork and
cooperation.
Additionally, ABBYY encourages employee-led CSR initiatives, especially at the local level. These
employee-led activities should address local needs and be in line with Global CSR vision.
Volunteer Time off Program
ABBYY runs a Volunteer Time Off program across all offices. The company encourages employees to participate
in volunteer activities by providing paid time off for volunteering (up to 2 working days per year). The
main goal of the program is to encourage ABBYY employees to support the communities and environment we live
in. The VTO program is a part of our Global ABBYY Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and is an
important part of the overall global employee benefits offerings. Employees can read more on the related
intranet program page.
ABBYY Corporate Social Responsibility Budget
ABBYY’s CSR budget is planned and approved by ABBYY’s CSR Lead and Chief People Officer for each calendar
year. The budget is allocated for global and local initiatives.
Global initiatives are chosen by CSR lead according to ABBYY’s CSR principles. All offices have their own CSR
budget. Employees can suggest CSR initiatives, and access funding after receiving the necessary approvals.
Employees can also propose global initiatives, which in some cases are approved and run across all the
regions in which ABBYY operates.
The budget can be used throughout the year, and if it is not distributed by the end of a calendar year, the
remaining budget will be allocated to Christmas or New Year charity initiatives selected by the local or
global CSR Lead.

ABBYY is an intelligent automation company that reimagines the way people work and how companies accelerate
