James Ritter

James Ritter is Chief Financial Officer at ABBYY, where he plays a key role in scaling ABBYY’s growth and continued investments in its market-leading intelligent automation solutions. James brings a passion for fostering a cohesive and collaborative environment is instrumental to building a sustainable business model based on serving our customers in the best possible way.

James has over 20 years of experience working for international services and software companies, and has a background in accounting, financial controls, revenue recognition, financial management, operational improvement, and strategic development.

Prior to joining ABBYY, James was the VP Controller at Accruent, an international enterprise software organization. He has held a number leadership positions in the past with global organizations including WPP, Ferrovial, and BigCommerce. Additionally, he has worked for two of the Big Four firms, Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

James is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA at Boston University Questrom School of Business.
